Lowell Manufacturing Company IX810-EL: has extended lip IX810: 10.63" dia. x 10"D steel backbox (flat mounting flange) with internal mounting plate to directly mount speaker in new construction or acoustic tile ceilings. The design allows heavier speakers to be used with torsion-mount grilles. Backbox has 4 combination knockouts (0.5"-0.75"), torsion slots on inner plate, 1.5" acoustic batting, and multi-use top cover plate with side flanges and holes for seismic tie-down or flown installation. Includes center-mount, removable 1-gang plate with metal connector for wire termination and access to transformer mounting bracket (suspended internally from plate). Black. Accepts torsion-mount grilles: CN8M, CS8W, WB8T, or screw-mount grilles: A8AW, CS8H, LO8P, OM8P, RS8AW, WB8, WB8H.
