Tannoy/TGI North America, Inc. The iw62 TDC is a full bandwidth in wall speaker system, using a 165mm Tannoy Dual Concentric™ point source, constant directivity drive unit with an additional 165mm bass driver and 25mm Tannoy SuperTweeter™. The latest Dual Concentric driver is at the heart of the iw61 TDC. Intensive research and development has refined this proven transducer technology to build upon the already legendary performance of this exclusive Tannoy driver design. Given that all sound emanates from a single point in space, the high frequency unit of the Dual, centrally mounted in the throat of the main 6" mid/bass drive, is so positioned as to acoustically replicate this single point source; delivering an open and natural sound with a very wide imaging 'sweet spot'. An additional acoustically matched 6" bass drive delivers low frequency reinforcement, while a Tannoy SuperTweeter extends the frequency bandwidth out to over 50kHz. Gold plated spring-loaded bi-wire terminals are provided for ease of installation, with further acoustic optimisation provided by a drive earthing fifth terminal designed to minimise RF interference. A unique eight-way clamp mechanism(patent applied for) optimises the acoustic seal with a high integrity bond to the wall surface without risk of distortion to the loudspeaker baffle. Designed for ease of use, the mechanism allows for simple removal or reorientation of the louspeaker. The iw62 TDC loudspeaker is ideal for installation into standard stud partition wall systems constucted with 4' BY 2" timber at 16" centres. They may also be used in cavity wall installations construted with standard thickness drywall. These are guidelines and therefore do not prevent use of the Tannoy In-wall products in different locations and a wide range of other wall construction types as long a they have a secure clamping surface up to maximum thickness of 1"
