The CI8M is a standalone, 8 channel CobraNet mic/line input module. Use this sonically superior preamp to convert microphone or line level analog audio into professional quality digital audio for distribution over a CobraNet network. The CI8M can be connected to the network anywhere network access and AC are available. Any analog audio source, balanced or unbalanced, can be connected through the XLR or 1/4" TRS input jacks. The studio quality specs of the CI8M mic-pres guarantee world class performance throughout the network.
Level controls and metering are conveniently located on the front panel along with switches to apply phantom power and a peak limiter. No computer is required so setup and operation are simple and easy. Just set the bundle select wheels to the desired bundle number, and set the bit width/latency selector to match that of the receiving device. Apply the 8 channels of analog audio and adjust the input level as neccessary, done.
