Alloy 4643 is designed for welding aluminum alloys 3003 and 6061. This alloy gives higher tensile strength in thick weldments on 6xxx alloys after postweld solution heat treatment and aging. Alloy 4643 is used with the Gas Metal Arc and Gas Tungsten Arc welding processes.
