The 1/4" flow PLC series is proven worldwide in thousands of applications and offers the widest selection of sizes and configurations. PLC couplings are injection molded from acetal and polypropylene thermoplastic. Acetal fittings are resistant to most mild chemicals solutions. Polypropylene fittings add greater chemical resistance for more demanding applications. They have one handed connection and disconnection, plus integral terminations with fewer leak points, shorter assemblies and faster installations making them the choice for ease of use and manufacture. Clicks when connected assuring a reliable connection. Acetal are white and polypropylene are almond. Acetal have Buna-N seals and polypropylene have EPDM seals. Thumb latch, valve springs and external springs and pins are all stainless steel. Acetal has a temperature rating of -40F to 180F. Polypropylene has a temperature rating of 32F to 160F. Both are vacuum rated to 120 psi, 8.3 bar. Polypropylene fittings can be gamma sterilized up to 50 kGy irradiation.
