The SMC & SMF are CPC's smallest couplings. These twist-to-connect couplings provide a reliable and more secure alternative to luer-type connections. They also allow for the tubing to rotate freely when connected. This important feature prevents both kinked tubing and accidental disconnection during use. Available in three sizes with either straight thru or shutoff flow. Available in three materials: acetal, polypropylene and ABS. Valve springs are 316 stainless steel and O-rings are Buna-N on the acetal and ABS and EPDM on the polypropylene. Temperature ratings as follows; acetal, -40F to 180F, polypropylene, 32 to 180F, and ABS -40F to 160F. Acetal and ABS fittings are natural white or black and polypropylene fittings are almond. All are rated for vacuum to 100 psi, 6.9 bar. Not UV stabilized. NOTE: Bodies and insert sold separately unless marked as "Coupling Set". Hose barbs fittings are measured by tubing ID. ABS coupling bodies are designed to be disposable.
