Thermal Wire and Cable LLC 250-4PFAH-COLOR

Description
Thermal Wire and Cable Corps type PFAH Teflon insulated conductors for general wiring offers a wide service temperature range (-80C to +250C**). Teflon PFA exhibits outstanding retention of properties after aging, even at high temperatures and in the presence of solvents, oils, oxidizing agents, UV light, and other environmental agents. In addition, type PFAH does not use any leachable or degradable stabilizing additives, which offers an important safety advantage when designing products for long service life. PFAH (perfluoro alkoxy fluoropolymer Teflon PFA heat resistance) sets the standard particularly in harsh environments. Teflon PFAH exhibits exceptional high temperature resistance and stress crack resistance with a high flex life. In addition, Teflon PFAH offers high dielectric strength, a low loss dielectric constant, low loss factors, and extremely high specific resistance. Type PFA is resistant to even the most aggressive organic and inorganic chemicals and solvents over a broad temperature range. The overall diameter is also less than other XLP or PVC cables due to the high dielectric strength which allows more circuits per conduit. Thermal Wire and Cable Corp's typePFAH Teflon insulated conductors produce very little smoke when burned. Its flexible nature and small diameter profile provides for easy, economical installations. Fully pigmented insulation in bright colors aids in positive identification. Longer continuous lengths are available with PFA conductors for general wiring than with PTFE insulated general wires.Compared with other high temperature general wires that are augmented with a braid, PFAH Teflon insulated general wiring slides rather than tears, yet its abrasion resistance helps eliminate cut-through and other damage that can occur during installation and use. Clean, smooth, and attractive terminations are possible due to the lack of a braid that can fray when cut and stripped. Type PFAH conductors for general wiring are 100% glass-free and are OSHA acceptable. These conductors for general wiring are 20% smaller in diameter than braided cables allowing more circuits per conduit. **90C Dry and Damp Locations. 250C Dry-locations Special Applications Nickel Plated Copper Only.
