Thermal Wire and Cable LLC 250- 1SDT250-*

Description
SDT-250 PFA Teflon insulated lead wire offers a wide service temperature range. SDT-250 is surface printed with the AWG (size of the wire) to prevent confusion in multi-circuits. SDT-250 lead wires can quite often replace the UL1180, UL1659, UL1199, and UL1727 etc cables which are generally more costly, and have a larger diameter, but the Thermal Wire SDT-250 will encompass all of these specifications and often cost less and remain in a more slender profile. Your inventory costs and number of lead wires to manage is greatly diminished with the use of Thermal Wire SDT-250. The overall diameter is also less, allowing more circuits per conduit. PFA SDT-250 lead wires retain retention of its properties after service at 260C (500F). Thermal Wire and Cable's SDT-250 Teflon insulated conductors produce very little smoke when burned and are chemically inert to nearly all industrial chemicals and solvents. Typical applications include internal wiring of appliances, igniters, and plastics process equipment. As a primary insulation PFA couples superior dielectric properties, heat resistance and durability. Its flexible nature and small diameter profile provides for easy, economical installations. Fully pigmented insulation in bright colors aids in positive identification. Longer continuous lengths are available with PFA lead wire than with PTFE insulated lead wire. Compared with other high temperature lead wires that are augmented with a braid, Thermal Wire and Cable's SDT-250 Teflon insulated lead wire slides rather than tears, yet its abrasion resistance helps eliminate cut-through and other damage that can occur during installation and use. Clean, smooth and attractive terminations are possible due to the lack of a braid that can fray when cut and stripped. SDT-250 lead wires do not contribute to Dermatitis, or skin irritation from glass braided cables and are 100% glass-free. SDT-250 is OSHA acceptable. Thermal Wire and Cable SDT-250 lead wires are 20% smaller in diameter than braided cables allowing more circuits per conduit. Multi-conductor cables and 300 Volt lead wire also available. Available in 24 - 4/0 AWG. Certain colors may require minimum orders. Teflon is a registered trademark of the Du Pont Corporation. *Please specify color : 0-black, 1-brown (tan), 2-red, 3-orange, 4-yellow, 5-green, 6-blue, 7-purple, 8-gray, 9-white. For green base color with yellow stripe -54. Intended Use : Internal Wiring of appliances or electronic equipment. UL Recognized; CSA Certified Conductor options : Solid or stranded Grade A (Nickel 200). **Ampacity based on single conductor in free air @ 40C. Please consult article 310 of the national electrical code for fuurther ampacity and application information.
