The MSP430F5172 is a 16-bit ultra-low-power mixed-signal microcontroller featuring a 32-bit hardware multiplier, two 16-bit high-resolution timers, a 10-bit 200-ksps ADC with internal reference, two USCI modules supporting UART, SPI, and I2C, and a 3-channel DMA. It operates from a 1.8V to 3.6V supply with active mode consumption of 180 µA/MHz and standby mode consumption of 1.1 µA at 3V. The device includes 32KB of flash memory, 2KB of RAM, and up to 29 I/O pins with 5-V tolerance. It is available in a 40-pin die-sized BGA (YFF) package measuring 5 mm × 5 mm and supports operation from -40°C to 85°C. It meets AEC-Q200 qualification and RoHS standards.
