Settings on the MaxQ 4450 allow users to choose between two temperature ranges, 5º C above ambient to 80º C or 5º C below ambient to 80º C, making the MaxQ4450 ideal for a small number of vessel-samples with a clear viewing lid to prevent disturbing contents. The MaxQ 4450 fulfills a variety of molecular biology, cell culture, and dissolution study purposes. You can operate the shaker in continuous mode or set the timer for 1 to 60 minutes for timed studies. An optional chiller, which pumps a mixture of ethylene glycol and water through a cooling coil in the shaker, is needed to achieve temperatures from 20º to 30º C in the chamber, but the chiller works only on the cooling-coil shaker models. When ordering, please specify shaker model, platform # 5322-26 and clamps. The chiller must also be ordered optionally to go with the cooling-coil shaker.
