Techsil¬Æ Cyanoacrylate Gel Clear Adhesive (20gm) is a high viscosity, fast-curing adhesive formulated for general-purpose bonding of various substrates including metals, wood, plastics, rubbers, and fabrics. The gel consistency allows for effective bonding on vertical and overhead surfaces without dripping. It is particularly suitable for porous materials like ceramics and can bond poorly fitting components. The adhesive exhibits a typical tensile strength of 21 N/mm¬= and has a fixture time ranging from 3 to 60 seconds, depending on the substrate. Full cure is achieved within 24 hours. The product operates effectively within a temperature range of -50¬8C to +80¬8C, maintaining approximately 70% of its bond strength at 80¬8C. It demonstrates excellent chemical resistance to oils and solvents but is not resistant to high moisture levels over time. For optimal performance, it is recommended to apply the adhesive sparingly and ensure surfaces are clean and dry. Activators may be used to accelerate cure times, particularly on porous surfaces. The adhesive has a shelf life of 12 months when stored properly.
Techsil® Cyanoacrylate Gel is a fast curing, very high viscosity Ethyl Cyanoacrylate based adhesive. The new formulation shows greater surface insensitivity thus allowing faster bonding of all substrates and improved performance on wood, card and metals. The new gel formulation exhibits improved thixotropic behavior and uniform appearance. Techsil® CA Gel is specially formulated for high strength, general purpose bonding of most metals, wood, card, plastics, rubbers, leather, fabrics and other common substrates. The gel formulation is suitable for bonding poorly mating components and for porous substrates such as china and other ceramics. It is also suitable for use on vertical and over-head surfaces as it will not drip or slump.
