TB1401 is a thread lock that is safe for all plastic & painted applications such as taillights, fairings, plastics and small screws. ThreeBond 1401 contains synthetic resins and rubbers as its main components. In a single application it prevents screws, nuts and bolts from loosening, leaking and rusting. Threaded components assembled with TB1401 are designed to be removable with a force of approximately 10 - 20% greater than that used for fastening. Being an air drying resin, TB 1401 cures completely even outside the confines of threaded sections. Therefore it can be used to replace conventional low strength anaerobic thread lockers and tamper-proof paints, and is applicable to plastic parts. (For screws which required greater locking and are not subjected to frequent disassembly, the TB1300 series anaerobic locking agents are recommended). Once cured, TB1401 is resilient and provides excellent vibration and impact resistance. Being of low viscosity, TB 1401 penetrates into threads to prevent loosening and leakage. It also prevents rusting and corrosion. This product provides an excellent locking effect with easy disassembly with normal tools. TB 1401 does not effect plastics or painted parts and maintains locking effect permanently. TB 1401 is a clear liquid with an effective temperature range of -40c - +120c.
