The new machine allows for quick and easy changeovers between horizontal (lay flat) and vertical (stand-up) secondary packaging, and can be seamlessly integrated with vertical form fill seal (VFFS) and horizontal form fill seal (HFFS) machines. Manufacturers can select the secondary packaging best suited to their products depending on bag style, shelf ready requirements and pack patterns.
The CCM 3100 can handle a wide range of cases, including Regular Slotted Containers (RSC), Half Slotted Containers (HSC), and other shelf-ready packaging styles. An exceptionally large format range of bag and cases sizes can be handled on the machine. A maximum of 25 cases per minute can be loaded and a maximum of 180 products per minute can be picked and placed with the Bosch Rexroth 2 axis robot. The open design and high accessibility reduces changeover time between horizontal and vertical loading which also reduces the machine downtime.
