The FZK 011 mechanical thermostat is a clip-mounted device for switching heating and cooling systems using a snap-action changeover contact. The 01170.0-00 variant is rated for 230 VAC with a set range of 41 °F to 140 °F. It uses a thermostatic bimetal sensor with a switching differential of 5 K, tolerant of -3/+2 K. The normally closed contact handles 10 A at 250 VAC ohmic, and 4 A inductive; the normally open contact handles 5 A at 250 VAC ohmic, and 2 A inductive. DC switching is rated at 30 W. The device fits a 35 mm DIN rail, measures 2.6 in height, 2 in width, and 1.5 in depth, and is enclosed in a UL94 V-0 light grey plastic housing rated IP20. Connections accept rigid wire up to 2.5 mm² or stranded wire up to 1.5 mm² with ferrules. It is rated for over 100,000 switching cycles.
The FZK 011 mechanical thermostat is used for controlling heating and cooling equipment, filter fans or signal devices where a higher degree of sensing accuracy is required. An integrated resistor (RF) can be connected to improve the switch temperature difference.
The thermostat registers the surrounding air and can switch both inductive and resistive loads via snap-action contact.
