Southern Stud Weld, Inc. Stud Welding Gun PS-3

The PS-3 electric lift gap gun uses the same gap stud welding process as the PS-1. The difference is that the lift is accomplished with an electric solenoid in the gun, instead of by mechanical means. The electric lift takes the operator’s motion variable out of the process, making the lift speed and distance the same on every weld. This increases the reliability of the stud welding process, especially on hard aluminum alloys or larger diameter aluminum studs. The PS-3 gun works with the Soyer BMS-10N, BMS-10NV, and BMS-10P stud welding systems. The lift distance is variable from 0 - 5mm.
