The 583 Series is a 19-inch industrial-strength 7” High - 17” Deep rackmount/benchtop chassis featuring 10-slot ISA or PCI/ISA passive backplanes. Split/segmented backplanes are supported. There is a 3.5” x 1” floppy drive bay, three horizontal front accessible 5.25”/3.5” half-height peripheral bays and one 3.5” full-height internal drive bay behind a latchable (optional lock for higher security) transparent Lexan door. The chassis comes with either a 300-Watt switch select or a 320-Watt autoranging 90-264 VAC PS/2 power supply. A positive pressure cooling subsystem (with two 53CFM quiet 12VDC fans, coupled with a removable, washable, foam filter and power supply exhaust fan) ensures optimal, clean airflow through the chassis to remove heat from critical system level components. Standard front panel controls/indicators include illuminated power ON/OFF, reset switch, PS/2 keyboard connector, speaker and four peripheral activity LEDs. The configurable, field replaceable I/O knockout panel includes one 6-pin mini-DIN, one 5-pin DIN (AT), two DB9, two USB, and one 68-pin SCSI. A two-year limited warranty is standard. High quality.
