This powerful air filtration system provides up to 1,060 CFM of air volume with various source-capture configurations. This particular configuration has a 7 L and 7 diameter heavy-duty source capture arm with a 10.5 capture hood and 360° swivel radius. Made of aircraft grade aluminum and flexible segments of flame-retardant hose, the heavy-duty extractor arm outfits the Model 550 Industrial Fume Extractor to provide fume and particulate control for high intensity industrial applications. This system features four cleanable Micro-Pleat Series 1 Particulate Filters that offer the ability to clean the filters with compressed air without removing them from the units chassis. The operator simply sprays compressed air into the filter media for cleansing while excess dust and waste fall into the internal dustpan, allowing for easy and clean debris removal. Other filter options include four HEPA non-cleanable filters, four 42 lb disposable Activated Carbon Filters, and four 42 lb Specialty Blended Filter Media (acid gas, ammonia, aldehyde, and mercury). This unit includes a Magnehelic Gauge (MP1 and HEPA models only) to monitor the saturation of the filters. As the filters become saturated, the static pressure increases and the digital readout will display this increase in pressure. Once the pressure reaches a certain point, the filters will need to be cleaned. The Model 550 Industrial Fume Extractor requires no exterior-ducting or makeup air.
