The TR 3 is currently the smallest turbojet engine for missile applications developed by Microturbo. It is currently the only one in its category that can undergo large-scale production while still offering remarkable levels of quality and performance that allow it to operate in very harsh environmental conditions. Although it shares a number of key technological features with other Microturbo turbojet engines, the TR 3 also integrates its own state-of-the-art technologies: high-speed alternator (100,000 rpm), pyrotechnic igniter cartridge and innovative shaft bearings are a few examples of these.
