The UCC5640PW28 is an active terminator designed specifically for low voltage differential (LVD) SCSI networks, supporting standards such as SCSI SPI-2 Ultra2, SPI-3 Ultra3/Ultra160, and SPI-4 Ultra320. It operates within a voltage range of 2.7 V to 5.25 V and features a differential failsafe bias, which enhances the frequency response of the LVD bus while minimizing bus loading due to its low channel capacitance of 1.5 pF. This device is available in a 28-pin TSSOP package, facilitating ease of layout in circuit designs. It is important to note that the UCC5640 is not suitable for single-ended (SE) or high voltage differential (HVD) systems. The device also includes a disconnect feature that allows for shutdown when not in use, contributing to system efficiency.
