The ISL6609A is a synchronous rectified MOSFET driver designed to drive two N-channel power MOSFETs in a buck converter topology, commonly used for core voltage regulation in Intel™ and AMD™ microprocessors. It is available in an 8-lead SOIC package with a footprint of 4.9mm x 3.9mm, compliant to JEDEC MS-012-AA. The device operates from a 5V±10% supply, features adaptive shoot-through protection, a 4A typical sink current for the lower gate driver, and an internal bootstrap diode. It supports high switching frequencies with under 10ns rise/fall times on a 3nF load and includes a three-state PWM input for output hold-off during suspension. The ISL6609ACBZ-TS2568 variant is explicitly not listed; however, the ISL6609ACBZ variant is specified for 0°C to +70°C ambient operation, has Pb-free (RoHS compliant) packaging, and includes bootstrap capacitor overcharge prevention. The series meets RoHS standards and is qualified for a maximum junction temperature of 125°C.
