RainWise, Inc. Precipitation Detector PS

The RainWise Precipitation Sensor consists of a gold plated printed circuit board pattern that senses the presence of moisture. Any moisture on the surface of this board results in a contact closure. When connected to a RainWise data logger, a timer is energized and the “on” time is recorded in hours and minutes. Product Features The surface of the board is heated, so that after precipitation has ended, the surface of the sensor will quickly dry. This heated surface also prevents the system from showing a false indication from dew. The sensor is protected from wind by a shield. The standard mounting is the RainWise plug-in mount that matches our Monopod. The precipitation sensor can also be furnished with a small NEMA 4X enclosure equipped with a Monopod mount for remote installations. The RainWise Precipitation Sensor is guaranteed for five years.
