Our 8648 series features the AS/NZS 4417 Piggyback Australian Plug (Former AS 3112 Piggyback Australia) with an ROJ. These Australian power cords are ideal for powering your custom equipment. This power cord will plug into the standard Australian wall outlet or receptacle on one end and will hard-wire into your equipment on the other end. The plug features a piggyback configuration. The piggyback design is a space-saving feature that allows you to power your device while still leaving the outlet or receptacle free to power other appliances. This is crucial in instances where your equipment must not power down, such as when using security systems. An ROJ, or Removed Outer Jacket, is the result of stripping the exterior jacket from the power cord and exposing the conductors for the purpose of hard-wiring the cord into your equipment. Our standard ROJ includes the removal of 2 inches (51mm) of jacket and of 1/4 inch (6mm) of conductor insulation.
