Description
Our 2042 series features the standard, 3-prong, Japanese Plug (JIS 8303) with an ROJ Shielded.
These Japanese power cords are ideal for powering your custom equipment. This power cord will plug into the standard Japanese wall outlet on one end and will hard-wire into your equipment on the other end.
Shielded wire uses a conductive lining to disperse any external electromagnetic interference and reduce any internal high-frequency noise. This protects the flow of electricity from electromagnetic fields created by other devices, and also protects the external environment from any electromagnetic field created by the power cord itself.
A Shielded ROJ (Removed Outer Jacket) occurs when 2 inches (51mm) of the outer jacket has been removed from a power cord that has insulated or double-insulated foil. The conductors of this cord are stripped back 1/4 inch (6mm), but there is one additional conductor, which is the drain wire that removes residual current generated in and around the power cord by electro-magnetic interference.
The 2042.098 is a Japanese power cord that carries the PSE approval and is rated at 12A - 125V.
This Japanese power cord can also be used in Colombia.
