Our 1682 series features the 3-prong, North American NEMA 6-15P Plug with the IEC-60320-C13 Connector. These Heavy Duty Power Cords feature plugs and/or connectors that are rated for high voltage and high current use, and are most often on large gauge wire. They can be used with heavy machinery as well as networking equipment (PDUs, Servers, UPSs ?) These High Voltage, High Current power cords are the recommended cords used for entertainment, networking, laboratory, and industrial equipment using the IEC-60320-C14 inlet. The plug end inserts only into the NEMA 6-15R style wall outlet or receptacle. Shielded wire uses a conductive lining to disperse any external electromagnetic interference and reduce any internal high-frequency noise. This protects the flow of electricity from electromagnetic fields created by other devices, and also protects the external environment from any electromagnetic field created by the power cord itself. The 1682.072 carries the UL and C-UL approvals and is rated at 15A - 250V.
