Our 0587 series features the domestic, 3-prong, North American Quick Release Plug (NEMA 5-15P) with the NEMA 5-15R Quick Release Receptacle. These power cords are extension cords. Featuring a plug and a receptacle of the same type, they provide additional range (length) for your equipment or devices from the power source. These North American extension cords are the recommended cords used to connect devices, appliances, and electronics to a power source. On one end, these cords plug directly into any standard NEMA wall outlet or receptacle, and on the other, the receptacle connects to any 5-15P style plug. Both plug and receptacle feature the helpful Quick Release. A Quick Release is a thumb lever that easily ejects the plug or connector from a receptacle or plug. This feature reduces the amount of force necessary to remove your power cord and rearrange your equipment. It also eliminates the ??yanking? problem thus the deterioration/split of the conductors inside the cord. The 0587.072 carries the UL and C-UL approvals and is rated at 10A - 125V.
