The ProLinx family Modbus TCP/IP to IEC60870-5-103 Master communications module (5201-MNET-103M) creates a powerful connection between devices on a Modbus TCP/IP network and an IEC 103 slave device. The module is a stand-alone DIN rail-mounted protocol gateway that provides one Ethernet port and one IEC 103 Master configurable serial port. The Modbus TCP/IP (MNET) driver can be used to interface many different protocols into the Schneider Electric Quantum family of processors as well other software solutions supporting the protocol. The MNET driver supports Client connections as well as Server connections. The IEC 60870-5-103 Master (103M) protocol driver works as a master to monitor and control up to 16 slaves. The serial port is user-configurable, providing a very powerful and flexible host or device interface solution.
