Industrial Valve Plama Coating System
This is an automated plasma spray coating cell used for spraying stainless steel coatings on the perimeter of butterfly valve disks for corrosion control. The disks range in size from 6" to 36" diameter. A dual spindle shuttle mechanism is used to load two valves at a time into the acoustical spray booth. A three axis gun mover strokes the plasma torch up and down while the parts rotate. An auto load door opens for the shuttle to operate. During part loading, the plasma torch remains lit and is directed into a sound box.
