Process Sensing Technologies USA FGD5/6-IR Pellistor Replacement Gas Detectors FGD5-6

Description
Flameproof Fixed Gas Detectors are used in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres where, due to the nature of the environment or the industrial process taking place, there is the risk of an incendive spark from electrical apparatus causing an explosion to occur and the organisation responsible for the safety of the area requires that electrical equipment be enclosed within a flameproof enclosure (also known as an FLP, Ex d or explosion-proof enclosure). The FGD5/6-IR is for the direct replacement of oil and gas industry 'pellistor' types. It does not utilise mirrors, lenses or separate heaters, eliminates the requirement for routine maintenance and minimises operating costs. An optional Weatherguard protects sensor from rain and salt spray and has the option for remote gas testing. Features: Certified Ex d IIC to IECEx and ATEX Temperature compensated infrared sensor for detection of Methane and other Hydrocarbon gases Tested and approved by major oil companies Compatible with industry standard control panels Eliminates all poisoning problems associated with pellistorsApplicatio ns: Oil & Gas industry Industrial Energy Chemical
