The Plast-O-Matic Series CKS self-closing check valves are normally-closed, bubble-tight valves designed to prevent reverse flow of corrosive liquids in piping systems. They feature a PFA-encapsulated stainless steel spring and a poppet seal that repositions automatically for consistent, gravity-independent sealing in any mounting orientation. The valves are available in PVC, CPVC, polypropylene, and Kynar® PVDF bodies with EPDM or FKM seals, and threaded or socket connections. Cracking pressure is approximately 1.0 to 1.5 PSI. Maximum working pressure varies by material and temperature, up to 100 psi at 75°F for PVC and PVDF with EPDM or FKM seals. Dimensions and Cv values are provided for sizes 1¼" through 4". Installation requires correct flow direction and hand-tightening with a quarter-turn wrench, avoiding overtightening. The series is rated for temperatures up to 284°F depending on materials.
Series CKS An encapsulated spring and sliding poppet provides the same normally-closed, bubble-tight performance in larger sizes 1 1/2” through 4″.
