The 62-1-A-24/2 is a chassis-mounted, single-pole normally open high voltage dry reed relay with a 24 V coil, capable of switching up to 7.5 kV at 50 W resistive load and carrying up to 3 A current. It features tungsten-plated contacts, a 500 Ω coil resistance, 3 pF contact capacitance when closed, and insulation resistance of 10¹² Ω. The relay includes an internal mu-metal magnetic screen for side-by-side mounting and has an operate time of 3 ms and release time of 2 ms. Its operating temperature range is -20 °C to +85 °C, with a 270 °C soldering temperature limit. The device is part of the Series 62, which provides 10 kV stand-off for Switch No. 2 configurations.
