The 200-1-C-12/3D is a surface mount reed relay with a 1 Form C (change-over) contact configuration, a 12 V coil, and an internal diode. It has a switching power rating of 3 W at 200 V, an operate time of 1.0 ms, and a release time of 0.5 ms. The relay features SoftCenter construction, an encapsulated plastic package with internal mu-metal shielding, and insulation resistance greater than 10¹² Ω. It is rated for 10⁷ switched operations under typical conditions and supports dry contact switching. The package dimensions are 20.0 mm × 15.25 mm × 6.0 mm with a maximum height of 9.0 mm. The relay is rated for reflow soldering and incorporates a flexible inner encapsulant for protection.

The special high temperature plastic package will withstand the temperatures associated with Infra-red or vapour phase reflow soldering processes. A flexible inner encapsulant protects the sensitive glass/metal reed switch seals - this is a very big advantage over the more usual hard moulded package.
