Pickering Electronics Series 100 100-1-A-12/6

Description
The Pickering Series 100 is a complete range of Single-in- Line (SIL) reed relays primarily intended for direct drive from 4000B CMOS or NMOS logic or similar low current sources. The mercury wetted relays in the range may be driven directly from TTL logic. They are also useful for applications where conservation of current is important, for example, battery powered equipment. The extremely low level of thermal EMF, about 1 microvolt or less, of the dry versions make them ideally suited to applications such as data acquisition or thermocouple switching. An internal mu-metal magnetic screen is fi tted to avoid the effects of magnetic interaction between relays.

Datasheet Summary
Powered by GS/AI

The Pickering Series 100 is a range of single-in-line reed relays designed for direct drive from low-current logic sources such as 4000B CMOS or NMOS, and for battery-powered applications requiring low power consumption. The 100-1-A-12/6 is a mercury-wetted 1 Form A relay with a 12 V coil, capable of switching 50 watts at 500 V, and must be mounted vertically with pin 1 uppermost. It features an internal mu-metal magnetic screen to prevent magnetic interaction between relays, an initial contact resistance of 0.100 Ω, insulation resistance greater than 10¹² Ω, and a typical capacitance of 5 pF across the open switch and 0.3 pF across the closed switch. It has an operate time of 2.0 ms and a typical life of 10⁸ operations under maximum load. Thermal EMF is less than 1 µV. A diode is not fitted in this variant.
