The Pick SC2 Sanitary Heater is designed for heating and cooking water-miscible liquids and slurries on a continuous basis. It is capable of handling pumpable slurries with solid pieces, such as salsas or stews. The heater achieves instant set point temperatures and ensures thorough cooking through its unique low-velocity steam injection system, which minimizes product degradation. This model has a steam capacity of up to 150 lb/hr (68 kg/hr) and can accommodate liquid flows as low as ¬O GPM (1.9 LPM). The SC2 is constructed from 316L stainless steel with a sanitary polish, meeting 3-A certification for food and dairy applications. It features tri-clamp connections for easy integration and disassembly for cleaning. The SC2 is suitable for laboratory and pilot operations, providing a compact solution for exploring in-line heating advantages. It can be customized with additional components such as pumps and controls to meet specific processing needs. The system is also compatible with CIP processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing energy costs.
Pick Sanitary Heaters are available in seven different sizes, with steam capacities from 150 lbs/hour to 10,000 lbs/hour. Our smallest heater, the SC2, is available with product connections as small as 1/2", and is perfect for R&D and pilot plant testing.
