SOA-63-6-12 is a thru-hole unthreaded standoff from PennEngineering® designed for mounting, spacing, or stacking panels and components. It utilizes a self-clinching design, allowing for permanent installation in metal sheets as thin as 0.025 inches (0.63 mm). This standoff is suitable for use in aluminum sheets with a hardness rating of HRB 50 or HB 82 or less. The SOA series is specifically recommended for applications requiring unthreaded standoffs, providing reliable support in multi-panel assemblies. Custom sizes are available upon request, and optional nickel plating can be specified for enhanced corrosion resistance.
These standoffs, which use the proven self-clinching design, install with a squeeze in properly sized round holes - and become permanently mounted in the thin sheet.
Unthreaded standoffs are also available for spacing multi-panel assemblies.
