Pavco, Inc. Chromium Plating Hex-A-Gone 1020

Description
Formulated from the same technology platform as Hex-A-Gone, Hex-A-Gone 1020 offers higher bath efficiencies that result in plating rates of 3 microinches per minute or 0.08 microns/minute along with throwing power that delivers thicknesses exceeding 20 microinches. Hex-A-Gone 1020 delivers this while granting a color comparable to hex chrome, ease of operation and good tolerance to metallic impurities. RoHS, REACH, WEEE compliant solutions should be considered when selecting a hexavalent chromium alternative or Cr(VI) free plating product. Pavco provides trichrome substitutes, trivalent chromium alternatives, chromium trioxide replacements and other chrome plating substitutes with Hunter L*a*b* comparison or color match equivalent to hexavalent chromium. Pavco has alternative chemistries for hard chrome, which avoid the CMR toxicity of hexavalent chromium processes In addition, Pavco plating processes are available for chromium free plating to eliminate hexavalent chromium or trivalent chromium altogether with non-chromium chemistries. EU regulations or directive have identified for certain hazardous carcinogenic, mutagenic and reprotoxic chemicals or CMR chemicals such as hexavalent chromium for elimination in European products and products sold in the EU. Pavco’s plating chemistries assure plated products meet European conformity requirements and acceptability for CE marking in line with SEVESO Directives I, II & III, Annex IV, REACH, and EU directive 2011/65/EU as well as the sunset date and Article 9 of the same directive to avoid special authorization requirements.
