The FOD814 series is a 4-pin DIP phototransistor optocoupler designed for AC line monitoring and unknown polarity DC sensing. It features back-to-back infrared LED inputs and a silicon phototransistor output in a 4-pin dual in-line package. The device meets UL1577 for 5,000 VAC RMS for 1 minute and complies with DIN EN/IEC60747-5-5. It guarantees a minimum collector-emitter breakdown voltage of 70 V, supports an input current of up to 50 mA, and has a maximum collector current of 50 mA. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +105°C, and the insulation thickness is at least 0.4 mm with 7 mm creepage and clearance.
