The 2SA1855/2SC4837 are PNP/NPN epitaxial planar silicon transistors for switching applications such as power supplies and relay drivers. Packaged in a 2084B case measuring 10.5 mm × 5.8 mm × 2.6 mm with radial taping for automated mounting, they feature a 50 V collector-emitter voltage, 4 A continuous collector current, and 1.5 W collector dissipation. The junction temperature range is -55°C to 150°C. The S-rank variant has a DC current gain of 140 to 280 at IC = -10 mA. Collector-emitter saturation voltage is 190 to 500 mV at IC = -2 A and IB = -100 mA, with a gain-bandwidth product of 150 MHz. Switching times include a turn-on time of 70 ns and a fall time of 35 ns. The device uses FBET and MBIT processes for low saturation voltage and wide safe operating area, and complies with RoHS.
