Solenoid Shutoff Valves are compact and suited for applications requiring rapid open and closed action. The 2 way solenoid valve is normally closed; when a current is applied to the solenoid, the valve port opens and automatically closes again when the current shuts off. The valves operate in any position and are particularly useful in automated plants and hard to reach locations. These valves are meant for continuous duty; flow cannot be adjusted. The nominal power consumption is 7 watts.
The coil is permanently molded into the housing, creating a durable, water resistant construction. The valves have corrosion resistant aluminum alloy bodies and stainless steel plungers and springs. The unit tolerates temperatures up to 225° F. The standard seals are Buna-N (Viton and EPDM seals are also available upon request). The solenoid has a 1/2” NPT thread for connecting with conduit and is powered by 24V/60Hz (please consult factory for additional voltages and frequencies). This valve features a 1/4” Female NPT Inlet and 1/4” Female NPT Outlet. The orifice size is 1/16” diameter and the maximum pressure is 125 PSI. The lead wire is 18 Awg. 24” Lg. The total length of the valve is 1 9/16” and total height is 2 3/4”.
