Explosion Proof Shutoff Solenoid Valves are for applications requiring rapid open and closed action. The 2-way solenoid valve is normally closed; when a current is applied to the solenoid, the valve port opens and automatically closes again when the current shuts off. The nominal power output is 7.3 watts.
The valve has a corrosion resistant stainless steel body. Buna-N seals are used. The solenoid has a 1/2” NPT thread for connecting with conduit and is powered by 480V/60Hz (please consult factory for additional voltages and frequencies).
This valve features a 1/4” Female NPT Inlet and 1/4” Female NPT Outlet. The orifice is 1/4” in diameter. Maximum pressure is 20 PSI. The lead wires are 18 Awg. 24” Lg and include a third wire ground. The total length of the valve is 2 5/8” and total height is 3 1/4”.
This unit is suited to ambient temperatures of 0° to 104° F and media temperatures of 0° to 150° F.
This Explosion Proof Solenoid Shutoff Valve is UL listed and CSA certified for hazardous locations:
Class I: Division 1, Groups C and D
Class II: Division 1, Groups E, F, and G
Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D, E, F, and G.
