Nokia Media Gateway 7520 Series

Description
The Nokia 7520 Media Gateway (MG) builds a service-aware edge for voice, wireline, and wireless in user-centric broadband networks. This product is built on the Nokia gateway platform that is common to the 7520 MG, the Nokia 5020 Media Gateway Controller-8 (MGC-8) and the Nokia 5025 Voice Signaling Gateway (VSG). The 7520 MG extends network transformation by allowing interconnection with time division multiplexer (TDM), IP and asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) networks. The 7520 MG also performs voice packetization, voice coding and decoding (CODEC), echo cancellation, as well as tone generation and detection. BENEFITS Carrier-grade services Support of standardized open interfaces and protocols compliant with European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI)/American National Standards Institute (ANSI)/Telecommunica tions and Internet Protocol Harmonization over Networks (TISPAN)/IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) recommendations Delivers critical end-user services with high quality Seamless scalability ensures efficient capacity expansions to the highest port densities Multiservice platform generates economy-of-scale savings and safeguards the investment while evolving to a converged end-to-end all-IP architecture FEATURES Multiple protocol support for legacy and converged network operation capable of concurrently hosting Voice over IP (VoIP) trunking, Private Branch Exchange (PBX) and IP access Purpose-built platform using the same hardware and software platform for signalling gateway and media gateway controller Available as integrated or stand-alone version Integrated key IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) functions, such as IMS Media Gateway (IMS-MG), public switched telephone network (PSTN) facing Media Gateway (pMG), 3G Media Gateway (uMG) and signaling gateway providing multi-service support
