The ULTRAPEN PT1 is a portable pocket tester for measuring conductivity, total dissolved solids, salinity, and temperature in water samples. It features an anodized aircraft aluminum body with a waterproof, fully encapsulated design rated IP67 and NEMA 6, and operates on a single N-type alkaline battery. The device offers automatic temperature compensation to 25°C, with a temperature measurement range of 0 to 71°C and accuracy of ±0.1°C. Measurement ranges include 1 to 10,000 µS or ppm and 0.0010 to 10.000 ppt salinity, with accuracy of ±1% of reading after calibration. It supports KCl, NaCl, and 442 Natural Water™ calibration modes, has a resolution of 0.1 for low ranges and 1 for higher ranges, and stabilizes readings in 10 to 20 seconds. Physical dimensions are 17.15 cm in length and 1.59 cm in diameter, weighing 55 grams.
This instrument is designed to be extremely accurate, fast and simple to use in diverse water quality applications. Advanced features include the ability to select from 3 different solution types that model the characteristics of the most commonly encountered types of water; proprietary temperature compensation and TDS conversion algorithms; highly stable microprocessor-based
