Century Spring Corp. NDS Series Disc Springs NDS-4-60

Description
A disc spring (sometimes called a "Belleville washer" after the inventor) consists primarily of a convex disc supported at the outer periphery by one force and an opposing force on the center of the disc. Disc springs are used singly, or in stacks, to achieve a desired load and travel. The advantage of a disc spring is that it generates high force in a very short spring length and with minimal movement when compressed. All Century Spring disc springs are subject to exacting manufacturing and quality control standards. All discs are preset so that they will not significantly relax under load over time. Century Spring also offers pre-stressed disc springs specifically sized for use with bolts.

Datasheet Summary
Powered by GS/AI

The NDS-4-60 is a flange disc spring designed to maintain bolt tension and gasket pressure in bolted joints, particularly under thermal variations and mechanical shock. It features a nominal bolt size of 0.875 inches and an outer diameter of 1.590 inches. The spring has a thickness of 0.280 inches and is made from H11/H13 steel, allowing it to withstand high temperatures up to 1100¬8F (590¬8C). The NDS-4-60 can handle a load of 28,000 lbs with a tolerance of ¬±20%. This disc spring is suitable for applications requiring reliable sealing and integrity of bolted flanges, making it a practical choice for engineers looking for durable and effective solutions in high-stress environments.
