Multiwave Photonics' MOPA-L laser is an eye-safe Pulsed Fiber Laser designed and developed specifically to address LIDAR and remote sensing applications. Superbly engineered, it generates single frequency short nanosecond pulses at 1550 nm.
The MOPA-L laser is based on a MOPA architecture (Master Oscillator Power Amplifier) that uses proven Multiwave subsystems and proprietary laser pulse generation, triggering, gating and ASE suppression technologies, ensuring laser pulses with the highest peak and average powers over the widest repetition frequency range. The laser incorporates real-time stabilization, monitoring and control electronics and firmware that continuously monitor and optimize laser operation, also providing an effective interface for user monitoring and control of key operating parameters.
The MOPA-L is conductive cooled and is offered either as a compact OEM module or as a fully integrated IEC/CDRH compliant laser system, incorporating an integrated power supply and control unit for easy laser installation, turn-on, operation and control. An optional forced air flow unit is also available
