The TIP115 is a PNP Darlington transistor designed for general-purpose amplifier and low-speed switching applications, packaged in a TO-220 case with three pins and a collector-connected case. It has a collector-emitter voltage rating of 60V, a continuous collector current of 2A, and a maximum power dissipation of 50W at 25°C. The collector-emitter saturation voltage is 2.5V maximum at 2A collector current and 8mA base current. The base-emitter on voltage is 2.8V maximum at 2A collector current and 4V collector-emitter voltage. The device includes a built-in base-emitter shunt resistor.
