CC-Link IE Field is a flexible Control and Device level network that is based on 1GBit Industrial Ethernet. This network can be configured to interconnect automation devices or be used to control distributed I/O systems. When configured for remote I/O, systems will generally include a slave head station, power supply and I/O from the popular L-Series family of controllers. L-Series I/O is extremely popular with machine builders due to its modular design and snap together rack-free architecture while many maintenance departments find the removable terminal block invaluable. This type of system is ideal for many machine builders and manufacturing facilities seeking higher concentrations of modular I/O.
