Baldor polishing motors are sealed bearing high performance heavy duty motors made for many years of continuous trouble free use. The dynamically balanced rotor and shaft provides vibration free and amazingly quiet operation. The sealed ball bearings are lubricated for life and will never be affected by dust and debris. This is the Baldor 359T 1-speed 1/2 HP polishing motor with taper fit shafts. Baldor taper fit shafts use special taper fit spindles that slide onto the taper fit shafts and then are "tapped" at the spindle end for a secure friction fit. Spindles are removed by rotating the spindle removing rings. As the screw-fit rings rotate out, they push the friction fit spindles off the shaft.
The 359T measures 14-1/4" from tip to tip of the taper fit shafts. The shaft height is 5-1/4" measured from the middle of the shafts.
