The SCH5017 is a 3.3V Super I/O controller with an LPC interface. It also includes auto fan support, a real time clock, LED support, two full UARTs, and a multi-mode parallel port. The product provides support for monitoring two external temperatures via thermal diode inputs and an internal sensor for measuring ambient temperature and allows for a two or three-piece linear fan function. This incorporates SMBus Backdoor Access to all registers, and supports up to three T03 sensor devices, and up to nine sensors, each of which can be assigned to any one or more of the three auto fan controls. The SMBus Slave Interface has a default I2C address 5ch for HWM registers and 6ch to RTC registers.
