Description
The SCH3227 is a 3.3V Super I/O Controller with an LPC interface. The SCH3227 includes Keyboard Controller, Hardware Monitoring capabilities, Power Control logic, and Motherboard Glue logic. The device provides a parallel port, 4 full serial ports and the option for two additional 4-Pin serial ports. The serial ports are fully functional NS16550 compatible UARTs that support data rates up to 1.5 Mbps. Hardware Monitoring capability has programmable, automatic fan control. It can alert the system to out-of-limit conditions and automatically control the speed of multiple fans in response. System related functionality, which offers flexibility to the system designer, included 40 General Purpose I/O (GPIO) control functions and control of two LED’s. The product is available in commercial (0°C to +70°C and industrial (-40°C to +85°C) temperature ranges.
