The MCP14A0902 is a noninverting high-speed MOSFET driver capable of delivering 9.0A peak output current from a 4.5V to 18V supply. It features an active-high enable pin with integrated pull-up for control flexibility, low shoot-through current, and matched propagation delays of 27 ns (typical). The device drives 10,000 pF capacitive loads in 24 ns (typical) with rise and fall times of 22 to 27 ns. It operates with low quiescent current of 360 µA (typical) and includes hysteresis on input and enable pins for noise immunity. The part is available in 8-lead MSOP, 8-lead SOIC, and 8-lead 2 x 3 TDFN packages and is latch-up resistant to 500 mA reverse current. All pins are ESD protected to 2 kV (HBM) and 200 V (MM).
The MCP14A0901/2 devices are high-speed MOSFET drivers that are capable of providing up to 9.0A of peak current while operating from a single 4.5V to 18V supply. There are two output configurations available; inverting (MCP14A0901) and noninverting (MCP14A0902). These devices feature low shoot-through current, fast rise and fall times, and matched propagation delays which make them ideal for highswitching frequency applications.
The MCP14A0901/2 family of devices offers enhanced control with Enable functionality. The active-high Enable pin can be driven low to drive the output of the MCP14A0901/2 low, regardless of the status of the Input pin. An integrated pull-up resistor allows the user to leave the Enable pin floating for standard operation.
These devices are highly latch-up resistant under any condition within their power and voltage ratings. They can accept up to 500 mA of reverse current being forced back into their outputs without damage or logic upset. All terminals are fully protected against electrostatic discharge (ESD) up to 2 kV (HBM) and 200V (MM).
