ESS500 seismic source is a new model with additional features. It uses a high-power transmission and electric motor to raise the hammer. 12 volt power is provided by a long-lasting battery charged by an alternator powered by diesel. Battery charge is automatically adjusted, as in a vehicle. Battery has sufficient charge to start ESS500 several times without generator running. This allows to operate in sites where vibrations or gas engine fumes could be a problem. ESS500 uses a direct management system, which eliminates risk of unavoidable fluid spills. ESS500 has a fully automated cycle, just press power button and a full cycle will start automatically. Many seismic energizers require presence of an operator to control instrument and to raise / lower hydraulic cylinder in correspondence with specific values. ESS200 is supplied as a complete system with integrated control and trigger.
